Assistant Leisure Manager
Parks at the Orchards are recruiting in Clacton for a Qualified Swimming Pool,
Sports and Activities Manager. This role is part of the leadership team on park
and reports directly to the Activities and Leisure Manager.
This role is all about ensuring the safety of our guests, owners and team whilst promoting our mission of giving our guests a great time with memories that last a lifetime.
It’s a challenging but rewarding role and is not for the faint hearted. You need to be fully qualified for this role and we are looking for someone who;
-Holds current and in date qualifications for: RLSS Trainer Assessor (probationary or full)
-RLSS NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard)
-STA Pool Plant Operator (3 day)
-NPMQ First Aid At work
-Leisure Management qualifications
-Experience and qualifications on using / maintaining plant room equipment
In addition to the above, applicants should be able to provide qualifications and experience of 'dry' leisure involvement whether through governing bodies, hobbies and interests or from time spent with an alternative activity provider
What will you be involved in?
Your key responsibilities will include some of the following, but remember no two days are the same so expect some variety;
-Overseeing, Leading and running the day to day operation of the leisure complex, swimming pool, surrounding areas and facilities and team member
- Managing monthly team rotas.
-Ensuring the display of weekly events / function posters.
-Ensuring levels of hygiene in the swimming pool area, surrounds and plant rooms are maintained.
-Supervising and control-bathing sessions ensuring the safety of swimming pool users and co-workers and safety when any equipment being used.
-Assisting in the setting up and removal of all equipment required for events involved within the swimming pool or surrounding area when required.
-Compiling the Events program for the leisure complex with the co-operation of the Entertainment Manager.
-Ensuring all duties required by pool team member are adhered to.
-Carrying out and administering First Aid as and when required and ensuring team deliver our mission statement
-Be a great communicator with both to external and internal customers
-Have strong leadership and coaching skills and able to tackle poor performance
-Have a flexible attitude with regards to working hours because this role will include weekends, bank holidays, and evenings.
-Develop, coach and train team to support development and succession plans
-The role reports to the General Manager
