Green keeper Leader - Haven

As Grounds and Gardens Team Leader I am responsible for:

Leading the Team
Line management, recruitment, coaching and development of the grounds team. Ensuring the safe
execution of jobs by applying the right labour skills and appropriate parts to the job and checking
quality is always maintained.

Park Presentation and Standards
Responsible for driving the quality of grass cutting, gardening, golf courses (where applicable),
litter & refuse management, park signage, gas bottle delivery (where applicable), roads, pathways,
drainage and groundworks. Ensuring all caravan pitches are adhering to the park rules.

Park Landscaping
Ground Work will be carried out reactively as well as planned and preventatively. The Grounds
& Gardens Manager will ensure that at all times the jobs we are doing keep us compliant with
all health and safety and legislative requirements. The Grounds & Gardens Manager will also
supervise all ground working contractors to ensure they are providing quality workmanship and
following all Bourne H&S requirements whilst on the job.

Technical Expertise and Leadership
Responsible for ensuring the grounds team are competent and confident in the use of all tools,
machinery and plant equipment. Leading the horticultural development of the park to make it
attractive to customers, wildlife and the local community.

Coaching and Development
Ensuring the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) of all grounds and siting teams by
assessing their career, goals and aspirations, balancing with the needs of the business and
progressing the grounds teams skills. Driving internal coaching and mentoring, application and
support of external training courses and providers, ensuring our grounds and siting teams are fully
up to date with the latest qualifications and experience.

Completing work to High Standards
Maintaining the highest degree of workmanship and professionalism throughout the jobs process
from quoting for work, completing work to the highest standards in the quickest time possible to
on-site contractor management.

Tools to do the Job
Ensuring all my team have the correct equipment, training, vehicles, uniform and skills to provide
the professional service and image of our park that our customers are expecting.

• Must be highly competent (and confident) in trade skills and horticulture
• Evidence of previous similar roles
• Evidence of previous management of teams and processes
• Ability to lead from the front
